RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions –
- Create invoices and maintain accounts receivable for various college departments.
- Manage campus credit card program – Including, but not limited to processing statements, maintaining spreadsheets and problem-solving vendor payment issues.
- Perform online requisitioner responsibilities and reconcile Business Office credit card statements.
- Manage motor pool program including maintaining spreadsheets and billing departments for use of vehicles.
- Create and maintain vendor records, including verifying data for reporting purposes.
- Complete credit applications and provide supporting documentation when necessary.
- Calculate and enter monthly interdepartmental charges.
- Assist AP Clerk in reviewing and processing outstanding purchase orders monthly.
- Participate in year end reconciliation processes for purchase orders.
- Perform AP Clerk’s necessary duties in their absence – could include processing check payments and posting payroll.
- Support Mailroom, Copy Center and AP Clerk as needed.
- Arrive for work on time, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
- Serve actively on campus committees.
Secondary –
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Accounting Services and/or Vice President of Operations and Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree preferred or comparable work experience.
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.
- The ability to work professionally with staff, faculty, and the public.
- Attentive to detail with high level of accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Physical requirements: Excellent verbal, writing and listening skills; Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, and to operate additional office equipment; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; attentive to detail, accurately follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, Sedentary/Indoor work environment with a substantial amount of keyboarding required.

HOURLY RATE and STATUS:
The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with qualifications, as determined by HutchCC administration. This full-time support staff position is 12 month annual, benefit eligible, at-will, and nonexempt.
