Destination wellness retreat center in CA is seeking a passionate, experienced hospitality professional for a Senior Event Manager role. Previous DELPHI experience is required for this position.
The Event Manager sets, models and enforces the highest standards and has end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of event planning and execution to the necessary post-event work. The incumbent plans, coordinates and collaborates with their clients, partners and vendors in Event Services, and Beverage, Culinary, Design and Warehouse operations to ensure all events are set up for success. Primary responsibility for the incumbent will fall in nine critical areas; 1) Delivers superb client care and communications before, during and after the event; 2) Provides logistical expertise and production management; 3) Responsible for “single-point accountability” at the event by directing, coordinating and collaborating with the client, vendors and Events Team in a way that delivers superior client care; 3) adheres to established service standards and ensures the timely execution of the event timeline; 4) Achieves event quality, safety and financial objectives for every event; 5)Anticipates needs and spot problems before they occur. Makes adjustments and takes immediate corrective action. 6) Sets, models and achieves the highest standards in leadership, resulting in inspired employee, client and guest experiences; 7) Assists in creating and delivering perpetual training programs throughout the year, to all members of the Events Team; 8) Makes promotional and / or disciplinary recommendations for all event staff to the Training and Development Managers and 9) Effectively interfaces with Sales and Marketing and Food and Beverage Teams to improve overall event operations and processes resulting in extraordinary increases of efficiency, energy and involvement. This individual provides inspired leadership and effective coaching and mentoring throughout the department while assisting with the establishment and achievement of performance objectives
