Maize Rd Wichita, KS, and will travel frequently to branches in Wichita, Hutchinson, Haven, and Newton.Schedule will be based on staffing needs, must be available from 7 : 45 a.m. - 5 : 45 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 7 : 45 a.m. - 6 : 15 p.m. Friday and 8 : 45 a.m. - 12 : 15 p.m. on Saturdays.Will work rotating Saturdays.NO Evenings or Sundays!!RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TELLER POSITIONThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities :
- Greets customers entering the branch, directs them to the correct staff member for assistance and provides assistance with ATM usage, coin counting machine, safety deposit boxes and other branch services.
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of paying and receiving functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
- Verifies cash totals and balances each day's transactions.
- Educate members of credit union products and services.
- Balances ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing / recycling machines in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provides superior service to our members.
- Proactively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS FOR TELLER POSITION
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
- Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required.
- Proficient with technology and variety of software including MS Office : Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Well organized and attentive to detail
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. occasionally and / or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
