What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Transport Driver position at Hutchinson Oil?

This position is based out of Amarillo, TX.

This driver will deliver fuel to our Guymon and Western Kansas locations.

Qualifications : Class A CDL / HazMat & Tank Endorsement

DOT Drug Screening Required

Essential Functions and Responsibilities-other duties may be assigned as necessary :

Responsibilities

Drives company truck to delivery site and unload fuel to Hutchinson Oil Co. customers, dealers, and convenience stores.
Be able to properly load and unload various types of fuels to be transported to site.
Must have knowledge and comply with all federal, state, local and company rules and regulations for operating and transporting hazardous loads in a commercial vehicle.
Must be able to use a tablet for receiving loads, submitting paperwork, and running logs.
Must complete and submit driver's logs, BOL's and delivery tickets daily.
Must always represent Hutchinson Oil in a professional manner to our employees, customers, and trucking industry.
Comply with all company safety & code of conduct standards.
Must be able to move freely in, out, and around trucks, and haul moderately heavy hoses in order to manually load fuel.

Maintenance

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on trucks and responsible for ensuring out-sourced services, such as oil changes, are completed at the appropriate times and mechanical problems are reported to the supervisor.

Customer Service

Must communicate effectively with dealers and customers to ensure appropriate fuel is dropped at the requested site and into the appropriate tanks.

Must be able to perform mathematical computations with accuracy in order to compute tickets on location, figure gallons, prices, and applicable sales tax.

Ensure customers and dealers receive fuel in the most timely manner possible, at the direction of their Supervisor.

Essential Requirements

Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.

Must be able to independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
