What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cath Lab Technician position at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System?
Prepares the room and assists the physician during procedures. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures except with providing moderate sedation medication.
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Monitors APR level of all instruments and supplies.
- Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Serves a population sixteen through geriatric.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Knowledge of radiological procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate of accredited radiology technical program or CVT program
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Licensure as a Radiologic Technician in the State of Kansas or RCIS.
- ARRT certification.
- Healthcare Provider BLS through AHA or ARC required by start date.
- ACLS or required within 6 months of hire.
