The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialist is responsible for administering the controlled
documents in accordance with customer and company requirements. Responsibilities include the
maintenance of the company’s internal Product Data Management (PDM) and PLM sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Release/maintain internal procedures, policies, forms and work instructions (Controlled
Documents database migrating to PICC (Private Innovation Competence Center)).
Determine and enforce document control requirements for the company to meet internal and
external needs.
Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of documents.
Audit the performance of the document control system.
Audit conformance to the Product Data Management (PDM)/ Product Lifecycle Management
(PLM) systems.
Distribute internal and external Change Notice Authorizations (CNA’s).
Transfer design data with “Product Data Release” (PDR’s) to vendors and plant locations.
Support plant DCO’s.
Maintain IATF 16949 and AIAG documentation in Teamcenter.
Support lead auditor for internal and third-party audits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree from a college or technical school; 2-5 years PDM/PLM experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Good knowledge of IATF certification requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
TEAM SKILLS:
This position requires the use of good team skills such as cooperation, information sharing, task
sharing, timely completion of assignments, good listening and communication skills and overall
respect for other team members.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and vendors. Knowledge of Spanish would be a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs is preferred. Must be familiar with internet research and the
use of e-mail. Familiarity with the Teamcenter environment is necessary.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral,
diagram or schedule form.
