What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Hutchinson?
Job Description
- Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. (Example : Labor efficiency file.)
- Ensures that DCP accounting standards are utilized and maintained in the Bills of Material, Routes and Structures.
- Analyzes data obtained and records results.
- Generate cost rolls on changes to BOM's
- Review and correct PMC errors (inventory transactions in XA).
- Maintain tracking on capital projects.
- Maintain Tooling and Die Trial files.
- Maintain Count Point paperwork for manual production recording.
- Prepare month end financial reports including prepare / post GL entries. (Includes Cost of Non-Quality reports, Material Transformation Rate reports, BOS charts, RMTC RG Statement.)
- Layered Process Audits and 5S Audits
- Set up new units & natures as needed and add to financial reports.
- Backup to Sales and AP (post sales)
- Back up to Payroll functions.
- Backup to purchase requisitions approvals.
- Back up to weekly flash (gross margin) file and weekly report (KPI's)
- Back up to BOS chart presentation and OPS-RGX
- Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE.

About the Team
With the corporate office located in Auburn Hills, MI Hutchinson Fluid Management Systems, Inc., We design and produce the lines needed for all their car and truck fluid transfer systems. Our solutions enable them to manage their turbocharged air intake, engine cooling and fuel injection systems. We also provide the lines required for pollution control systems, such as particulate filters, blow-by and selective catalytic reduction (SCR), as well as assisted steering and air conditioning lines. Our manufacturing sites in the United States are located in Livingston, Tennessee.
