What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator position at Hutchison Inc.?
Hutchison, Inc. is a manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler of livestock and equine equipment products sold to farm and ranch suppliers. We are seeking a fabricator for our Grinnell, IA location.
You will work in the manufacturing facility operating machines and manufacturing different components that are used to make a completed product. Follow directions/production schedules completely with the right materials needed for the project and manipulate the materials according to required specifications. Accurately adjust settings on machines being used for proper functioning. Complete information on the tags/reports for the manufactured parts and confirm that parts are correct and fit/align as needed. Maintain shop and work station cleanliness and keep equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Perform detailed review for quality checks and maintain expected standards
Able to lift 50-60 pounds unassisted and multiple times during a shift and occasionally may need to lift 100 pounds. Able to move quickly, turn, twist, bend or stoop. Must have good math and tape measuring skills. Must have reliable transportation as good attendance is mandatory. Willing to take on additional jobs and responsibilities as assigned.
