What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boys Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach position at Hutto High School?
Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership, instruction, and coaching for students in football grades 7-12. Develop the skills and abilities of student athletes to excel in football. Coordinate campus athletic programs for male athletes. Assure appropriate compliance with all district, region, and state athletic policies and regulations. Contribute to the campus education program as a whole and to the growth of all students involved in athletics. Demonstrate and teach student athletes good sportsmanship and leadership skills.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Current automated external (AED) defibrillator certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of coaching techniques, strategies, and procedures
Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations
Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
Ability to interpret data
Excell organizational. Communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of high school coaching experience required
Head coaching experience (preferred)
Salary : $81,936 - $125,000
