What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Math/Science Curriculum Specialist position at Hutto Independent School District?
Primary Purpose:
Evaluate and provide leadership for the overall curriculum programs of the district. Assist in evaluating and managing instructional programs and operations at campus and district level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Assist programs in the effective and efficient operations of the curriculum and instruction department which includes curriculum, staff development, and assessment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree (Masters Preferred)
Valid Teaching Certificate
Experience (Preferred):
A minimum of three years teaching experience
Delivery of professional development at both teacher and administrative levels
Working knowledge of curriculum development and monitoring
Training in the development of instructional coaches / intervention teachers
Special Knowledge / Skills:
Thorough knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Knowledge of teacher and leadership development
Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to identify needed training and coordinate staff development
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Salary : $67,522 - $81,351
