Jr Data Engineer
Location: Fully Remote
Job Description:
A global name company in the fintech domain are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr Data Engineer to join their dynamic data engineer team. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remotely. Unfortunately, they cannot sponsor visas or accept visa transfers at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and support Data Migration staging environments and warehouses.
- Assist in regulatory and business reporting processes.
- Profile downstream data to identify anomalies and potential data issues.
- Collaborate with members of the QA group to develop test cases and scenarios.
- Create and peer review scripts for reporting purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- 0-2 years commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- Solid understanding of data structures and ETL processes.
- Experience working in Azure environments using tools such as Data Pipelines and CosmosDB.
- Proficient with version control systems like Github and DevOps.
- Experience with Analytics / BI platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Cognos.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis using Python or R.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL querying and datasets.
- A strong passion for information and data integrity.
