- Design and implement network solutions tailored for automated trading systems.
- Maintain high availability and low latency network infrastructures.
- Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate on technology solutions.
- Proactive monitoring of the network with effective capacity planning.
- Participate in on-call support rotations, including some weekend work.
- Mentor junior engineers from a technical standpoint.
- Expertise in multicast and unicast routing protocols such as TCP/IP, PIM, BGP, OSPF.
- Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing modern IP multicast networks.
- Understanding of low latency networking concepts and tools like packet capture and tcpdump analysis.
- Familiarity with firewall administration, site-to-site VPNs, high accuracy timing protocols, and network management software.
- Scripting abilities in languages like Python for network automation tasks.
