Compliance Representative
Compensation: starting salary of $47,500-60,000/yr!

Progressive and growing master distributor of industrial fasteners seeks a results-driven administrator who has strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. The chief responsibility of the incumbent will be to perform and manage complicated research and communication related to product or process compliance. This is a dynamic position that will build successful relationships a variety of cross-functional partners internally, in addition to vendors and customers from across the world. Responsibilities:
- Understand, interpret and apply a variety of international trade regulations to Company processes to ensure compliance. Regulations include; but are not limited to, The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Receive, interpret, and communicate details from vendors regarding product certifications, safety and/or technical data sheets.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product or process compliance in an accurate, timely, and customer friendly manner.
- Research, understand, and consult on ever-changing government and industry regulations and standards as applicable.
- Update information in relevant databases and software to ensure accuracy.
- Act at all times to ensure Company risk mitigation and loss prevention.
Qualifications
Ideal Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in Business Administration or other relevant fields is desired.
- Prior experience in successfully researching, interpreting, administrating compliance and consulting with functional work teams within an organization.
- Specific experience in international trade and shipping regulations is desired.
- Evidence of successful application of policies, procedures, and product categorization compliant with external regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Competent administrative and personal organization skills.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs experience.
Work Environment: Office setting with friendly, outgoing, team-oriented staff. Candidates should anticipate a very fast-paced, productive work environment. Occasionally, the candidate will work in our manufacturing plant environment to interface with operations teammates.
