Sourcing Manager
Compensation: Starting pay of $77,000 - $100,000/yr. tri-annual performance-based bonuses!
Location: In-office position in either Sidney, NE; or Minneapolis, KS dependent on candidate’s location.

We are seeking a results-driven professional to serve as our Sourcing Manager, someone who can proactively develop new product sources and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in product sourcing, supply chain management, purchasing/procurement, industrial sales, or merchandising. Strong professional communication skills, along with effective influence and negotiation strategies, are essential. The successful candidate will also demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to lead without direct authority.

This is a dynamic position where the incumbent will support the development of an expanding global supply chain network, with a mission to take our fastener distribution capabilities to the next level by sourcing new vendors that meet company quality standards, and customer expectations. This individual must be a team-player and perform assigned tasks accurately, completely, and in a timely fashion. We offer these benefits and more:

Responsibilities:

• Source, qualify, and develop existing and new suppliers via thorough research, analysis, and communication, ensuring alignment to Company standards.
• Expand Huyett’s supplier network.
• Develop, document, and implement corporate sourcing strategies and best practice processes.
• Support the development of target costs to verify and validate new sources.
• Effectively negotiation and manage relationships with potential and existing vendors.
• Serve as liaison relative to company procurement issues.
• Manage supplier performance, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Manage vendor and product data via relevant systems.
• Mediate and drive resolution to quality issues.
• Perform all other related duties as required.

This position also entails the future prospect of managerial responsibility. As Huyett’s sourcing function grows, the need may arise for Sourcing individual contributors to directly report to this incumbent.

Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or other relevant fields.
• Three years’ experience in sourcing, purchasing, or vendor management. 
• Prior industrial fastener industry experience preferred, not required.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, and production of steel desired.
• Strong administrative skills and competent personal organization.
• Excellent time management and problem resolution skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs experience.
• Internal sense of customer service and team play.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with supervisors on completion of tasks.
• Ability to work in a team setting while taking responsibility for personal productivity.
• Ability to think 'on your feet' and employ creativity, resourcefulness, and discipline.
• Ability to work at a desk full-time.
