Job Responsibilities

  • If needed, provide prompt and efficient basic, intermediate, or advanced life support care to the patient.
  • Administer basic, intermediate, and advanced patient care in accordance with the approved protocols and within the provider’s scope of practice.
  • Be able to recognize the need for additional resources, i.e. case management or EMS.
  • In addition to the onsite safety personnel, the medic will aid in maintaining scene safety to minimize additional injury/illness to the patient or other employees.
  • Document, in detail, the patient’s condition, assessments, and any treatments rendered on the patient care report.
  • Complete other essential documentation as required by the client and HV Health and Safety.
  • Identify imminent and potential safety hazards on the site and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Act as a liaison between the client, HV Health and Safety, and workers’ compensation partners to provide information related to employee incidents.
  • Assist the client with development and maintenance of onsite Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Maintain inventory of medications, supplies and equipment in accordance with the company policy.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure all equipment and tools, for which the medic is responsible, are present, clean and in proper working order.
  • Actively participate and contribute to both the Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team meetings as allowed.
  • May be asked to perform other duties to support project under the direction of both, the onsite safety personnel and HV Health and Safety management.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 4550 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work 810 hour shifts
  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to climb without difficulty.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in small spaces.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and taste/smell while performing job duties.
  • Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years.
  • Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
  • Ability to work independently in remote or isolated locations.
  • Must have Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of industryspecific safety procedures in construction, mining, etc. (preferred)

Skills and Experience

  • Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking in highpressure situations.
  • Skilled in administering emergency care (CPR, trauma management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, local/state regulations).
  • Proficient in medical recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with workers and management.
  • Physical stamina to lift, assist, and manage patients.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under stress.

Licenses/Certifications:

Driver's License (Required)

Minnesota EMT Certification (Required)

NREMT License (Required, if you do not have a Minnesota EMT Certification)

CPR Certification (BLS – Basic Life Support)

Salary Transparency:

The wage range for this position is $28-$31 per hour. The offered rate will be based on experience and qualifications.
