Job Summary:
The Training and Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs and safety policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role involves coordinating employee training, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a culture of workplace safety and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development:
- Develop, schedule, and conduct employee training sessions, including onboarding, safety procedures, equipment operation, and compliance training.
- Maintain training records and ensure all employees meet required certifications and training standards.
- Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training programs.
- Collaborate with department managers to tailor training initiatives to specific job functions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and update materials as needed.
Safety Compliance & Risk Management:
- Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA logs and other safety-related documentation.
- Ensure employees have proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and understand how to use it.
Employee Engagement & Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding safety concerns and training needs.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Promote a culture of safety through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
- Provide reports and recommendations to management regarding safety performance and training progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, or Teaching/Education field is preferred; but not required.
- Certification in safety programs such as OSHA, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant certifications is a plus.
- Experience in training coordination and safety compliance, preferably in the service and/or construction industry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop training materials and conduct engaging training sessions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training management systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office and field environment as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
