What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Representative - Physician Office Patient Accounts position at HVHS Brand?
Department: Physician Billing Office located in Beaver, Work Hours: Standard Monday through Friday office hours.
This position is responsible for various portions of the Central Billing Office - Physician Corporation Receivables. This includes insurance verification, data entry, chart reviews, preparing patient accounts for billing, conducting accurate and timely follow-up, resolving patient and insurance company questions with regard to those bills, and ensuring receipt and documentation of all payments received. The person in this position will be required to pull and work daily/weekly/monthly Reports in Excel and drill down to area of responsibility to facilitate timely billing and follow up.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. General knowledge of health care/physician office terminology; experience in health care billing, receivables management and automated billing systems a plus. Good communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Applicant should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD10-CM coding.
