We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Transportation Planning & Performance Analyst to join our dynamic team in North Kingstown, RI. In this role, you will play a critical role in optimizing our inbound freight operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods to our distribution center.

Responsibilities :

Optimize Inbound Logistics : Develop and implement strategies to optimize inbound freight operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and container flow management.

Data Analysis & Reporting : Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in transportation efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service levels. Generate regular reports and conduct in-depth analyses to track progress and identify trends.

Carrier Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party carriers, negotiate rates, and resolve any issues related to invoicing or service.

Process Improvement : Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations.

Compliance & Safety : Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (stores, drivers, warehouse teams) and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

Previous experience in dispatch and transportation operations.

Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS).
