Job Description
Summary :
The Demand Planner II begins the SIOP process by leading the Commercial and Customer Service organizations in capturing customer demand forecasts. Once compiled they assist the company through the analysis phase, comparing and involving actual sales data for each product, channel, and customer, and develop sound demand planning assumptions based on historical sales, item modeling, channel fill requirements, replenishment rates, and seasonality for each product category. Additionally, this role assists the company through the demand planning - forecasting phase of the AOP process. Critical processes to be involved in with this role include the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process (SIOP), the AOP & STRAP processes, ABC-XYZ / inventory segmentation, ERP Health, and E&O Health.
Responsibilities :
- Capturing customer demand forecasts and the analysis phase, comparing and involving actual sales data for each product, channel, and customer; developing sound demand planning assumptions based on historical sales, item modeling, channel fill requirements, replenishment rates, and seasonality for each product category
- Preparing weekly reports and cross functional demand planning meetings, tracking actual sales to forecasts, adjusting forecasts based on sales trends; providing demand planning output / forecast to the rest of the company
- Owning the overall ERP and related systems health for assigned areas; responsible for monitoring and maintaining accuracy of critical system parameters and protecting integrity of execution activities driven by the ERP and related systems
- Completing daily / weekly / monthly reporting on critical process control measures needed to sustain ongoing process integrity - SIOP execution reporting and alignment to the Supply Planning Team
- Assisting in development / maintenance of databases and resulting metrics allowing for more efficient access to data and report generation / queries to measure the effectiveness of the demand planning process
- Assisting the company through the demand planning - forecasting phase of the AOP and STRAP processes
