Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote a strong safety culture, holding team members accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular audits and observations to ensure product quality meets or exceeds standards, owning Quality Control compliance for assigned areas.
- Analyze equipment performance and issues, securing resources to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Lead shift activities to maximize productivity, incorporating key communication meetings, preventative maintenance, training, and feedback to the team.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment changes and problems.
- Track and report production key performance indicators and deliverables for their team, participating in report-out and production meetings.
- Manage all aspects of their team, including payroll approval, vacation approval, performance management, communication, coaching, and feedback.
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, including mechanical drawing, with at least 5 years of work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Experience in refractory operations or similar processes is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic equipment is required.
- Proficiency in computer operation, preferably Oracle ERP or similar products, is also required.
