HX5 has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team in supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Agile Weapons Division (AFLCMC/EBX) at Eglin AFB, Florida.

The Agile Weapons Division (EBX) acquires dominate strike weapon capabilities with speed and agility through transformative digital acquisition and open architecture approaches. EBX delivers weapon capabilities with speed and agility by designing, testing, fielding, producing, and sustaining in an integrated digital environment. These products include the Future Hypersonics Program (FYHP), Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW), Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW), and the Agile Weapons Office (AWO) supporting program execution across the Division using an open, agile, and digital acquisition approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the following activities for armament systems; material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support Apply and execute the following systems engineering technical and technical management processes: requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, transition, decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management
• Plan and execute the technical reviews and assessments (e.g., System Requirements Review, Technology Readiness Assessment) and documentation development (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan, Risk Management Plan) that are an inherent part of the activities and processes listed above. Shall include the use of requirements management tools (e.g., Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)).
• Conduct reviews on armament programs portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system-level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance are achieved.
• Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions using the application of engineering principles; perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.
• Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
• Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes.
• Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
• Provide proposal analysis support services that compare and quantify proposed systems, components, approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness; provide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing: Initial Capabilities Documents; CDDs; CPDs; AoAs; Military Utility Assessments (MUAs); CONOPS; Technology Development Strategies; Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs), and; Technology Standards Profiles.
  
  

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and five (5) years of professional experience; OR
• Master's degree and three (3) years of professional experience. (Must have a Bachelor's in engineering from an ABET-accredited college)
  
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
  
  

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance by the date of hire.
