HX5 is currently seeking an Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will support the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) efforts in support of NASA's Gateway. The Gateway is being developed to facilitate and successfully maintain human presence beyond low-Earth orbit, and the PPE provides a critical path to that success.
Principally, the selected candidate will act as the PPE Co-Manifested Vehicle (CMV) Integration Lead and be responsible for the following :
- Maintain insight into NASA's industry partner (IP) CMV activities
- Support verification and validation planning for CMV integration
- Support planning for CMV integration and testing at NASA's Kennedy launch site
- Support launch vehicle integration planning and execution.
In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading efforts for Natural Environments and Induced Environments :
The selected candidate will support the PPE SE&I Lead, and this effort is monitored by the Science and Space Technology Systems Branch at NASA GRC, which provides leadership in systems engineering to enable science and space technology programs and projects.
