Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing company in the branded merchandise space, is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize key operational areas of the business. This critical leadership role will report directly to the President and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, scalability, and performance across logistics, fulfillment, accounting, and HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Logistics
- Lead day-to-day logistics operations, including warehouse, fulfillment, and shipping.
- Ensure timely, cost-effective order fulfillment and delivery, optimizing for both speed and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales and leadership to align operational planning with company growth goals.
- Manage third-party shipping and fulfillment partners, ensuring quality and efficiency across the supply chain.
Finance & Accounting
- Oversee internal accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports with insights on revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Support financial planning efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
People & Culture
- Manage HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and compliance.
- Promote a positive, productive workplace culture that supports retention and team growth.
- Ensure company policies align with operational needs and legal requirements.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Oversee relationships with key third-party vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods and services in support of business objectives.
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Identify and implement operational improvements to drive efficiency, scalability, and cost savings.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and report regularly to leadership.
- Partner with the President to support the execution of company-wide initiatives and long-term growth plans.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5 years of experience in operations leadership, ideally in a branded merchandise, e-commerce, or logistics-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, fulfillment, and warehouse management best practices.
- Experience leading accounting teams and producing actionable financial reports.
- Familiarity with HR processes, employee relations, and compliance.
- Demonstrated success in managing third-party vendors and contracts.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency with modern operational software and tools (e.g., inventory systems, accounting platforms, HRIS, Microsoft Office).
