WHAT TO EXPECT
Hy-Line North America is looking to have someone join our team as the Crew Coordinator. In this role, you will be based out of Warren, IN. You will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing the crew work at Hy-Line North America , working closely with Location Managers, Breeder Managers, and Compliance Managers to make sure all equipment, apparel and supplies are maintained, cleaned and disinfected for each job, as well as maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment for crew workers and warehouse and following up on Biosecurity and Animal Welfare assessments with management . DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Location Manager, Breeder Managers, and Compliance Manager to schedule crew and service work
- Responsible for Crew oversight and /or setup while at a Hy-Line NA sites
- Schedule meetings with crew members, supervisors, and management.
- Responsible to assure crew and equipment arrive on site clean
- Responsible for tracking and reporting hours worked by the crew
- Responsible for monitoring cleanliness of the crew warehouse.
- Responsible for crew, trucking site visits to observe and report on C&D of equipment 24-48 hours prior to farm arrival. Use certificate of C&D to document – available in NA SOP
- Monitor C&D of crew specific shoes, clothing, equipment, etc
- Coordinate with Flock Service to supervise crew work.
- Maintain inventory of supplies for crew work. Clothing (scrubs, coveralls, socks), shoes/boots, hairnets, knee pads, gloves, coolers, plastic bags, microwave, etc
- Maintain equipment for crew work, beak trimmers, nets, gates, syringes, eye droppers, wing web injectors, etc
- Verify necessary equipment and clothing that will be used at Hy-Line North America farms for service and moving is cleaned before use
- Follow up on biosecurity education and risk assessment with crew management and Hy-Line North America Flock Service/Managers
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Location Manager, Breeder Specialist, or Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to tow a trailer
- Must be able to work independently
- Computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook are required
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the phone and via email.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Must possess a strong personality to ensure HLNA programs and policies are followed.
- Must have good organizational and math skills.
