What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hatchery Maintenance Technician position at HY-LINE NORTH AMERICA?
Hy-Line North America is looking to have someone join our team as the Hatchery Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be based out of our Wilton, IA location. You will be responsible for monitoring and repairing all hatchery equipment, incubators, hatchers, processing equipment along with mechanical systems within the building while following all biosecurity and animal welfare policies. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager on maintenance schedules, purchasing parts and supplies and inventory on parts. This role involves being able to respond to emergency alarms after hour and participating in a rotating on call schedule. In this role you must have the ability to lift and carry 80 lbs, must be able to work in varying environments, and must be able to be respirator certified.
Candidates with experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, boilers, motors, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs is preferred but not required. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must have the ability to learn and utilize an internal database and internal company programs. Compensation based on skills and experiences.
