Job Description:

Hy-Tek Intralogistics is seeking a driven, curious, and resourceful Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our high-performing marketing and sales teams. This is your chance to be on the front lines of warehouse automation and supply chain transformation—working with cutting-edge robotics, software, and systems that are redefining how the world moves goods.
As a Business Development Rep, you’re not just supporting sales - you’re fueling it. In this role you’ll be the engine that drives new business opportunities through smart outreach, strategic prospecting, and persistent follow-up. From first touch to handoff, you’ll engage key decision-makers, uncover needs, and spark conversations that set the stage for long-term partnerships.
You will work hand-in-glove with marketing and sales teams to target priority verticals, build compelling pitches, and create momentum in the pipeline. Whether it’s through outbound efforts, networking, events, or digital campaigns, you’ll be hunting down opportunities and delivering qualified leads that translate into wins.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective clients in target markets such as eCommerce, 3PL, healthcare, and manufacturing
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of revenue-generating sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor outreach strategies and campaigns
  • Following up on all leads produced through marketing activities (Pardot, print media, trade shows, publications, social media)
  • Working existing accounts and leads that have not been active in 30 days.
  • Initiate contact with leads through calls, emails, social, and in-person events
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover customer needs and qualify opportunities
  • Educating customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and the sales/solutions teams
  • Track outreach efforts and results in CRM and provide ongoing reporting
  • Attend trade shows, site visits, and partner events to build brand awareness and generate leads
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competitors, and Hy-Tek’s full set of solutions
  • Presenting new products and services (product development lab visits, customer site visits, IntraOne Platform presentations) to enhance existing relationships.
Key Performance Indicators:
Generating sales orders is ultimately the aim for this role. The essential duties and responsibilities listed above are tracked using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aimed to produce the result of generating sales orders through lead generation. Lead generation is produced through these measured activities:
  • # of calls per week
  • # of call backs
  • # of Capability Presentations Completed
  • # of Lab Visits
  • # of leads converted to proposals
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, and/or any equivalent education that demonstrates expertise in customer engagement.
  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably in supply chain technology, automation, SaaS, or enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations, warehouse automation, and logistics technology is a plus.
  • Experience targeting enterprise accounts and engaging VP, Director, and C-level executives in supply chain and IT.
  • Strong skills in using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics), and industry databases to map out prospects.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales conversations and position solutions as strategic investments.
  • Understanding warehouse automation, robotics, WMS/WCS software, and their impact on operational efficiency a plus
  • Willingness to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously refine sales strategies based on market insights.
  • A natural communicator and relationship builder not afraid of initiating conversations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Material Handling Industry is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following verticals is preferred:
    • Food and Beverage / Grocery
    • Pharmaceutical / Health Care / Medical Supply
    • E-Commerce
    • Wholesale
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to travel as necessary, overnight travel is required
  • Working with computers for a long period of time.
  • Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
  • Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA level.
  • Exposure to industrial settings such as Manufacturing Plants, Distribution Centers, Warehouses including Coolers and Freezers.
