Job Title:
Body Technician
Hours of Operations:
7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Purpose:
- Prepping vehicles for repairs.
- Manage the product amounts being used.
- Oversee body work assigned to you at your stationed location.
- Communicate with the Estimators, at your stationed location.
- Communicate with parts manager to ensure vehicle parts are being dispersed to the body-techs correctly.
- Taking vehicles apart.
- Putting vehicles back together.
- Staying on top of knowing where the vehicle being assigned to you is at for stage of repair.
- Knowing where the car parts are for the vehicle you are assigned to work on.
- Keeping a clean work environment/area.
- Ensure that all body work has been double checked and finished correctly.
- Communicating supplements to estimators.
- Time management with operations of vehicles needing to be repaired.
- Communicate with team leader / team members effectively.
- Following up and staying current with safety procedures.
- Must be able to wear a respirator.
- If a car comes back, you must fix the assignment that you had worked on.
This Role is a high touch role within HCC. You are one of the key players of making the operations continue, smoothly. You will be assisting the team leader, and/or team with vehicle body work repairs. You will need to have great time management for the assignments and repairs being assigned to you, to effectively finish on time for the customer. If the customer brings their vehicle back with any “redo’s” you as the body technician will ensure those are fixed, as long as it was apart of the work you were assigned. Must be able to communicate effectively with estimators, for any supplements needing to be added, that will be your responsibility to ensure that you are being assigned and paid correctly.
This role is not limited to the roles and responsibilities listed above. Must be able to be flexible and adaptable.
Supervisors:
- C.O.O. / Owner-Operator.
- Director of Human Resources.
- Facility / Estimating Manager.
Qualification’s:
- Be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Be able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours.
- Be able to have a flexible schedule.
o I.E. – Working outside of companies’ operation hours, along with weekends.
- Must have less than a 10% call out rate.
- No corrective action forms in the last six months.
- Knowledge of vehicles, and vehicle parts is recommended.
- Knowledge of welding.
o iCar certified in aluminum and steel is recommended.
o A.C. (Air conditioner.) certificate is recommended.
- Must be able to receive direction and coaching as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
