What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRO Technician position at Hyannis Air Service Inc?
SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will work at Cape Air’s Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Facillity.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conformity inspections
- Aircraft modifications
- Read, understand, and apply blueprints and basic sheet metal repair criteria
- Work with or without established blueprints to drill, dimple, file, grind, trim, countersink, install aircraft structural assemblies and subassemblies, sand, paint and seal
- Participate in department/base meetings, as required by Manager
- Conduct OJT with new-hires, as assigned by Base Manager
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Must have a well rounded knowledge of sheet metal tooling, equipment, materials and processes
- Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations
- Aircraft maintenance work experience, required
- General Aviation or twin Cessna work history, preferred
- A&P, preferred
- Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
