SUMMARY:
The Pilot Pathway Recruiter is responsible for the oversight of all pilot recruitment, selection, and job replacement. This role works with leaders within flight operations, flight training, and human resources to fulfill staffing needs while ensuring a welcoming and pleasant onboarding experience. This position ensures all crew members fit within our company culture and have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and source appropriate talent for current open roles within the pilot group
- Process and review pilot applications and resumes
- Schedule and conduct pilot interviews in partnership with other members of the flight operations team
- Counsel candidates on corporate benefits, salary and corporate culture and environment
- Update the pilot employment pages of Cape Air’s external website
- Update external pilot career websites and databases
- Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to initiate conversations with potential candidates, maintain relationships, and ultimately generate applications
- Must be willing to travel to attend various job fairs, school career fairs and other recruitment events
- Foster and establish relationships with organizations such as universities, WAI, NGPA, AABI,etc.
- Assist with the Pilot Pathway Programs to include interviews, on‐site visits, and classroom presentations.
- Assist as needed with all recruitment, administrative, and travel needs in support of Cape Air’s responsibilities in the Workforce Development Programs with Republic Airways and LIFT Academy as well as JetBlue’s Gateway Programs
- Enter, track and update all candidate correspondence in ADP Workforce Now and the Pilot Pathways Database to ensure accurate reporting and policy compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Support HR with the onboarding process for new hires by managing paperwork in ADP Workforce Now and processing background checks through Vault Health Workforce Screening
- Process fingerprints for new hire pilot background checks
- Create CREW employee IDs for pilots
- Establish and maintain recruitment metrics, such as time to fill, offer acceptance rates, and resumes viewed
- Remain current on employment related issues including Employee Relations, Labor Law (State, Federal and Regional), Compensation, Hiring, Benefits, etc. and how they affect pilot hiring
- Participate in Cape Air’s Crew Manpower Planning Team (CMPT) to anticipate future needs and long-term goals
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in aviation(preferred)
- Private Pilot Certificate (preferred)
- Has a firm grasp on all operational aspects of Cape Air’s Flight Operations Department, the pilot union contract, the Company’s policies and procedures, and on Cape Air’s corporate culture; can express knowledge of these areas to applicants, employees and the public
- Comfortable speaking in front of an audience, small orlarge
- Able to evaluate applicant qualifications, to analyze job requirements, to revise and prepare job descriptions
- Able to apply good judgment while performing job duties
