Summary
A Shift Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. A Shift Engineer will also perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows-based computer system.

Qualifications
- A minimum of three years building maintenance experience is required and hotel experience is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is Required
- Must have advanced troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills are necessary
- Must possess a positive attitude and be able to interact well with guests and colleagues.
- Must be able to lift moderate weight (up to 50 lbs)
- Must feel comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Self-starter and self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- High degree of facilities technical knowledge
- Experience with using building life safety systems (fire control panel, elevator operations)
- Skilled with preventative maintenance on cooling towers, boilers, water heaters, and HVAC units
- Weekend/holiday availability is needed
- Support in the response for guest and employee emergencies
- Must be able to adhere to safety and security protocols for the hotel
- Ability to perform regular monitoring and walking hotel premises
