Summary

The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic RVP Development to join our Americas Development team. In this role, you will be collaborating with the broader Development team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The RVP, Development is responsible for being the primary contact with the hotel franchise community in the Central United States, including Texas and other states TBD, for the future development and growth of Hyatt brands. You will be part of a team passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills and building connections with stakeholders, colleagues, and guests across the organization.

The Role

The Developer needs to have a wide and varied skill base, an understanding of local hotel markets, an ability to develop relationships, and convince developers that Hyatt products are well-suited for the location and market

  • Develop Relationships with Owners & other partners to grow the Hyatt system
  • Identify locations and markets in which to focus time and effort
  • Bring new Hyatt projects forward for approval through Hyatt’s internal Development Committee
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of each franchise agreement

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • 5 years of hotel franchise sales and development, hotel feasibility, hotel financial analysis or other sales-related experience.
  • Established relationships with owners, operators, consultants, management companies, lenders, builders, etc.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple relationships and deals at all times
  • Ability to travel approximately 70-80% of the time required

Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
