Laundry Aide (Weekend Shifts)
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Aide to join our team at Willow Springs Care and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to cross-train in housekeeping, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. The role will focus primarily on laundry duties with an added opportunity for growth in housekeeping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry for residents and staff, ensuring cleanliness and proper hygiene standards are maintained.
- Maintain an organized laundry room and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Cross-train and assist in housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms.
- Assist with linen inventory, ensuring an adequate supply is available for the facility.
- Follow infection control guidelines and facility policies to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Ensure laundry equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions.
- Provide assistance as needed to support the overall operation of the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Ability to cross-train in housekeeping duties and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and infection control guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, caring attitude toward residents.
- Must be able to lift and carry laundry and cleaning equipment as needed.
