Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Chief Engineer will be responsible for leading the day to day operation of the facility and shift coverage. This includes maintaining the working order of guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and the building exterior. Chief Engineer will assist the Director of Engineering with the opening of the hotel, managing and scheduling contractors, ensuring building system inspections are conducted, and effectively communicating with the hotel in regards to facility related operations. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and develop departmental training and operational procedures. The candidate must have 3 to 5 years hands on experience with preferred technical knowledge in HVAC systems, mechanical equipment repairs, building automation systems, and energy management. This position requires strong leadership skills and a willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates. Hospitality industry experience a plus.
