The OpportunityHyatt seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Reputation Communications to join our Global Communications team in Chicago. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader communications team as well as senior leaders across the organization, including executive management. You enjoy working with others, are results-driven, and seek various opportunities to develop personally and professionally.The Role The Senior Manager, Corporate Reputation Communications is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies to promote and protect Hyatt’s corporate reputation. The individual in this position will be a media relations expert with extensive relationships and knowledge across the most influential business publications and multimedia channels. The individual will also be versed in issues and crisis communications and prepared for rapid response to issues that threaten to damage Hyatt’s corporate reputation.Focus areas will include : Executive Visibility & Business Media RelationsMaintaining and building key media relationships that result in media coverage across traditional and new formats / outletsIdentifying and supporting impactful speaking engagementsEnhancing online presence for executivesDeveloping talking points and conducting prep sessions with executives including members of the C-suiteLiaising with Investor Relations on business storytelling opportunitiesDeveloping cross-stakeholder communications strategies for external amplification in line with Hyatt’s purpose of careProviding strategic counsel on World of Care storytelling and reportingParticipating in real-time issues and crisis response managementQualifications
Experience Required : 10 years in corporate communications (or public affairs-related positions) experience with corporate reputation and issues / crisis communications required.Degree in marketing, PR, communications, journalism, or related field of studyProven experience collaborating effectively with global and cross-functional partnersExtremely sound, consistent judgmentAbility to manage multiple projects and adjust prioritiesStrategic thinker with excellent listening skillsExcellent public speaking and presentation skillsStrong empathetic orientation and high level of personal commitment / caring, unquestionable integrityProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel globally as required (approximately 10-25%)Experience Preferred : Travel / tourism / hospitality experience a strong plus.The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
