What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer position at HYATT Hotels?
Summary :
The Engineer is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Duties & Functions
- Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality standard.
- Maintain the building exterior
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors windows and counters.
- Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and / or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
- Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
- Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
- All other tasks and duties as assigned
