Hyatt Place Houston / Downtown in Houston, TX is looking for applicants to join our team as a part-time hourly maintenance technician. We are located on 1114 Texas Ave.
Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working. Must be able to stay on track with work while working alone as well as a team player when working with others. This is important as you will be working with other departments quite often.
Schedule will typically be 3 to 4 days a week. Schedule is posted a week in advance and days off may vary from week to week dependent upon the needs of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- General maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows based computer system.
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred.
- Basic trouble-shooting skills.
- Previous building maintenance experience is required with hotel experience preferred.
- Good communication skills are necessary.
