Position Description:
The House attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel and providing customers with quality service in a timely and friendly manner. Responsibilities vary but may include: cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the public areas of the hotel, preparing food for guests, washing dishes, delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk, and driving shuttle van when needed.
Qualifications:
§ Customer service background.
§ Friendly, professional verbal communication.
§ Able to stand for the duration of shift.
§ Valid driver’s license.
§ This position requires full mobility, lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling a luggage cart up to 200 pounds.
Position Requirements/Job Results:
§ Follow established standards determined by management and government regulations, including OSHA, when cleaning hotel guestrooms, public areas, and when performing other duties
§ Transport guests safely to and from the airport, carefully handling luggage
§ Graciously welcome guests with open doors and luggage assistance
§ Respond with helpful info about getting around and offer suggestions for local events and activities
§ Ensure the vehicle is clean, gassed, and ready to go, noting any malfunction at the first sign.
§ Exhibit professional communication and team-member skills to accomplish maximum service for department and property.
§ Comprehend how all departments within the hotel work together and affect each other, guests, and service.
§ Handle and resolve customer complaints, resulting in customer satisfaction and developing loyalty.
§ Recognize and follow company procedures and policies as defined in the Employee Handbook.
§ Complete any and all tasks given by supervisor.
