The Restaurant Server Assistant at Avenue One plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by supporting servers and ensuring the timely delivery of food from the kitchen to guests. This hybrid position encompasses many responsibilities, requiring efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
The responsibilities outlined below are provided as a representative sample of the essential functions of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive list; additional duties may be assigned as necessary
- Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
- Act as a liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to coordinate order delivery.
- Assist as needed with In-Room Dining orders (preparation, room delivery, tray pickup, etc)
- Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
- Assist servers in clearing and resetting tables between courses and after guests depart.
- Refill water glasses and other beverages as needed.
- Ensure tables are properly set with clean utensils, napkins, and glassware before seating guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations.
- Restock service stations with necessary supplies such as utensils, condiments, and napkins.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
- Work closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
