Summary
This posting is for an Intermediate Cook 2 for the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. The position rotates between Former Saint restaurant and Main Kitchen and the shifts will vary based on business. Candidates will need to have flexible availability and work both the am & pm shifts.
The Intermediate Cook 2 is responsible for working as part of a team and focuses on prepping for the kitchen and production of standardized meals primarily in the area of banquets. Cooks are accountable for delivering the same quality of product every time.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of professional cooking experience, which includes cooking in a high-volume restaurant operation; or have a combination of professional culinary work experience and formal culinary training.
- Candidates must also demonstrate good communication skills, good knife skills, product knowledge and identification, and knowledge of various cooking methods.
- This position involves standing on feet for long periods of time and requires the ability to lift, push and carry moderate amounts of weight.
Candidates must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
