Company Overview: Hyatt Regency Green Bay is seeking a Banquet Set Up Supervisor. Did you know we are located in the heart of downtown and home of the Green Bay Packers? Position Summary: The Banquet Set Up Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of all banquet functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Ensuring each event function is properly set (tables, chairs, linens) to guest satisfaction, prior to the start of the event, as well as break down at the end of the event. This candidate must have good communication skills, as well as the ability to lift moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position.


Detailed Description:

  • Supervise and assist Banquet Set Up Attendants with set up to ensure compliance with event specifications and with clean up and break-down after events.
  • Assist with planning, organization and execution of all event functions.
  • Greet clients/guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Participate in and lead department meetings, as needed.
  • Ensure each meeting space is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Confirm meeting specifications, audio visual, rooming lists, and food & beverage requirements.
  • Maintain the overall appearance, layout and design of the room.
  • Break down each set up at the end of the event.
  • Ensure all equipment is stored in the proper areas.
  • Abide by all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Prior hotel experience preferred but not required
  • Previous leadership preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt well to daily changes
  • Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks
  • Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external guests
