Summary
Join our Purchasing team as a Storeroom Attendant and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery and management of products essential to hotel operations. This role supports the day-to-day receiving process, vendor communication, inventory control, and requisition fulfillment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, upholding cleanliness and safety standards at receiving locations, and delivering exceptional service to both colleagues and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all deliveries in accordance with purchase orders and quality standards
- Log, store, and track all incoming and outgoing guest packages
- Maintain a clean and organized loading dock, storeroom, refrigerators, and freezer areas
- Assist with weekly and month-end inventories; ensure storerooms are properly stocked
- Review and fulfill department requisitions in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain purchase order filing systems and inventory records
- Support the Purchasing Manager in vendor relations and special projects
- Operate the hotel’s purchasing and inventory systems
- Answer department phones and respond to internal and external inquiries professionally
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external communications
- Attend required meetings and trainings; perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in purchasing, receiving, or hotel operations is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work with financial information, inventory systems, and spreadsheets
- Comfortable using computers and hotel purchasing software
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently
- Must be available for early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
