The Group Sales Manager will be a critical role in our team in helping us build relationships and grow our group rooms and meeting room revenue. The individual will be responsible for the pharmaceutical market segment. The position does require a proactive approach to sales to positively impact the hotel’s business goals. The position will report to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space, conducting site inspections, travelling to see customers and attend specific trade shows. Duties also include, preparing and presenting effective proposals and contracts and utilizing data reports to create strategies. This role will utilize Hyatt systems and coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Works collaboratively with hotel teams, Hyatt SalesForce and other hotel counterparts to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction and increase market share.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers, industry organizations to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
- Develop and implement targeted strategies and successfully close business to maximize rooms and banquets revenue stream
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Interact with the operation team to ensure understanding of guest needs and in creating a working relationship within all areas of the operation

Qualifications
- Sales experience in hotel, airline, retail or travel related industry is preferred
- Proven sales experience with the ability to guide and achieve personal revenue goals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Highly motivated, solutions-orientated self-starter with adaptable teamwork styles
- Strategic orientation with the know-how to problem solve under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Salary : $58,300 - $73,900
