What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Hyatt Regency New Orleans?
General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, public and back-of-house spaces. This includes responding to guest room calls in a timely manner and providing outstanding service for our guests. This role will also include mechanical repairs as needed in kitchens, mechanical spaces and interior/exterior building repairs. This role requires a candidate that communicates well and self-motivates in lower call volume periods.

Qualifications
- Technical Experience in a related field or trade (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, Paint & Wallcovering)
- Excellent customer service experience
- Good communication skills (Guests, Clients & Hotel Staff)
- Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Two years of previous hotel experience preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
