WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Full Time Market Barista

Job Summary:

We are excited to share that Hyatt Regency Portland has an opportunity for people who love helping people.

Please join our Market team as a Market Barista.

The hourly rate is $20.25/hour (effective February 1, 2025).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and other drinks, according to established recipes and standards.

• Operate and manage sales on a Point of Sale (POS) system, handling transactions for beverages, retail, and pre-packaged foods.

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including brewing equipment, counters, and seating areas.

• Restock supplies, such as coffee beans, syrups, and cups, as needed to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.

• Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred.
• Must have full availability, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and holidays.
• Familiarity with operating a Point of Sale (POS) system is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages and customer experiences.
• Ability to lift/push/pull a moderate amount of weight.
• Must obtain an OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handlers Card by first day of employment
