What are the responsibilities and job description for the NIGHT AUDIT position at Hyatt Regency St Louis at the Arch?
Summary
The Night Auditor role is a guest-facing, front office position, meaning that you are at the hub of the hotel and have the most interaction with our guests. Associates working at the front desk are the key to the overall experience the guest will have. The ideal candidate for this role will have full-service front office experience, be proactive and must be comfortable/able to work independently.
As a Night Auditor, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and checking in guests upon arrival and providing them with relevant hotel information
- Auditing and balancing reports from the day shifts | Running end-of-day reports
- Answering phones, scheduling wake-up calls and taking reservations (i.e. taxi's, restaurants, shuttles etc...)
- Responding to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner
- Preparing guest folios for next-day checkouts
- Processing and verifying reservation payments
- Balancing cash drawers and reconciling with receipts
- Communicating with other departments to ensure the reliability and cleanliness of the hotel and amenities for guests
- Handling the phone system, transferring calls, reservations, etc...
- Be versed in all hotel emergency procedures

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of front office experience in a full-service hotel
- Prior night audit experience a plus
- Strong verbal communication and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Ability to work as a team
- Problem solving skills
- Able to lift/push/pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Open availability to include weekends and holidays - Shift time 11PM-7:30AM
