What are the responsibilities and job description for the Harvest Server position at Hyatt Regency Wichita?
Position Objectives
It is the primary responsibility of the Server to prepare event space and equipment and clean up at the conclusion of the event. During the event the Server will be responsible for serving food and beverages and providing table service to assigned areas, to include bussing. Ultimately, Servers are responsible for taking care of guests throughout the event to ensure they are comfortable and relaxed during their time at the banquet or event. All duties are performed in accordance with regulatory and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
The best candidate will be experienced in restaurant serving and sanitation standards. This position offers opportunity for conversation, creativity and allows for building on one's style and previous service experiences. Morning availability is required, hours of operation are currently 6am-12pm.
Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) or older
- Minimum of 1 years of serving experience in a high-end restaurant preferred
- Available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal communication skills
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Must have the physical ability to be on feet for entirety of shift and lift a moderate amount of weight
Education & Skills
- Preferred; Food Handlers card
- Required; mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Required; effective oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all employee levels and guests within the hotel
- Required; Ability to multi task, prioritize and handle conflicting demands
- Required; Flexible with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing priorities and situations
- Required; Sold under pressure, professional and able to maintain composure in handing complaints and other feedback
- Required; Ability to meet deadlines without compromise
