The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Finance Department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position is critical to the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department. Specifically handling and overseeing the one-off cash journals and ensuring the integrity of cash handling and balancing, and assisting in tracking of taxes due to the unique tax status of the Hotel.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices for payment; ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports as needed and assist with month-end close activities.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documents.
- Assistance: Provide support to other finance team members as required.
- Communication: Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding invoices and payments.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role preferred. Experience with Tax A is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Communication: Refined written and verbal communication skills.
