Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Event Set Up Team as our On-Call Houseperson! The Event Set UpHouseperson will support the Hyatt Regency Seattle & Hyatt at Olive 8!
The Event Set Up Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This individual is vital in the set up for events in our meeting space areas across Hyatt Regency Seattle and Hyatt at Olive 8. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight and walk long distances.
The hourly rate range for this position is $16.66/hour to $18.01/hour. This position offers a starting rate of $16.66/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the position with Hyatt for four years or more, which is currently $16.99/hour. Depending on experience, a candidate for this position may also be eligible to be hired as a lead at a “lead rate” of $17.66/hour, with an established rate of $18.01/hour for colleagues who have remained in the lead position for four years.
This position earns additional compensation through automatic service charges applied to banquet functions. 2.5% of the taxable 25% service charge goes to the event setup housepersons. A taxable 25% service charge and applicable taxes shall be added to all meeting room rental charges, 10% of which goes to event setup colleagues. For internal events, 2.25% out of the 15% applied service charge, is distributed to the event setup colleagues.
An additional $2.00/hour will be earned for shifts worked that are designated as “overnight” shifts.
