This position requires an understanding of a pastry/baking operation within the hotel. This individual will be expected to practice the importance of producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. The responsibilities of this position are to assist the Pastry Chef in the oversight and execution of the hotel's Pastry department. This person should have basic skills in department training and coaching, and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Chef. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, cost control, basic communication and leadership skills and computer skills.

Qualifications
- Takes pride in a great job done
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
- At least 2 years of prior pastry/bakery experience in a commercial setting
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Able to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight
- Able to walk and stand throughout duration of shift
- Flexible availability as needed, including weekends, holidays, days, nights, and overnights
