Maintenance Technician (Part time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and appearance of all hotel facilities by performing regular maintenance and repairs. This role is crucial in maintaining guest satisfaction by providing a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and other equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests in guest rooms or common areas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities to protect both guests and staff.
• Keep records of maintenance work performed, including date, time, description, and parts used.
• Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of maintenance areas and tools.
• Work with hotel management to schedule downtime or repairs with minimal impact on hotel operations.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining hotel equipment for special events or functions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in facilities maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Rotating weekends
